The End of My Corporate Era

Well, I did it.

I finally submitted my resignation, and as of April 11th, I will no longer be working for a large corporation as an Engineer.

I had dreamt about this moment for so long, and now that it’s here, it feels almost surreal. I don’t know that it will really hit me until I no longer have to log onto this Dell laptop with the bright orange screensaver. Or more realistically, when my bank account doesn’t get the biweekly direct deposit I’ve grown accustomed to.

12 years ago when I first started thinking about what it’d be like to not have to work a 9-to-5, I didn’t know what experiences I’d have and whether I’d ever be in a position where I actually enjoyed what I did. Despite the realization over the last couple of years that this is no longer my path, I did legitimately enjoy some of the memories I was granted from this experience.

I have spent almost 9 years of my life with this company, 3 different titles, 7 different countries and countless cities traveled to, many many connections made, an MBA, a handful of awards, and so many products that I’ve had some influence in getting to the store shelves. It was a source of pride for so long - the title, the badge to the corporate office, and the affiliation with such a well-known company. That is, until I recognized that there was more I valued in life than just these external indicators of success.

I don’t really know what the future will hold, but I know this is what I need to do. I speak a bit more about how I’m feeling moving forward in the latest episode of the Avoiding Average podcast as well as what I feel I’m being guided to do.

In the coming weeks/months I’ll be sharing more about my new route while also adjusting to a new way of life and routines. Even though I’ll be staying home with my kids, my coaching business is still important and will be one of my main focuses, especially as I now have more clarity about where I am going.

In the meantime, I will be offering individual sessions for coaching, astrology and astrocartography, Akashic records, breathwork, and hypnotherapy. If you’re interested, please feel free to reach out either through the contact form, by email, or through instagram.

Big changes are coming, and I can’t wait to share more!
